Changes are coming: What you need to know about the Intuit App Partner Program before July 28, 2025

If you have an app listed on the Intuit App Marketplace or use QuickBooks APIs, there are important changes coming to the Intuit Developer Platform that you need to know about.

On July 28, 2025, Intuit is launching a new App Partner Program with benefits* designed to support developers as they grow their business on the QuickBooks platform. All US-based apps will be defaulted to the Builder Tier and won’t be subject to any platform services fees. However, Builder Tier apps will be limited to 500,000 CorePlus API calls per month. Be sure to check your current API usage, as your app may exceed this limit.

Why This Matters

If your app stays in the Builder Tier and regularly uses more than 500,000 CorePlus API calls per month, you could experience failed syncs or interrupted service starting July 28, 2025.

To avoid disruption for you and your customers, you’ll need to take a few simple steps in the Developer Portal to review the updated Intuit Developer Terms of Service, choose a program tier, and add a payment method.

What’s New

The new Intuit App Partner Program includes different tiers to meet the needs of developers at different stages. The Silver Tier, which includes flat and variable platform service fees, is a good fit for most production apps. It includes:

  • 1 million CorePlus API credits per month
  • Unlimited Core API usage
  • Access to new premium APIs
  • Developer support and API usage analytics
  • A partner badge and visibility in Intuit’s customer campaigns

What You Need to Do

To continue using your app without disruption:

  1. Sign in to the Intuit Developer Portal
  2. Accept the new Developer Terms of Service
  3. Validate your company address
  4. Go to: Workspaces > Billing and Subscription
  5. Add your payment method and subscribe

If you’re not the right person to make these changes, please forward this article to someone at your company who is. The program is currently available to developers based in the United States only.
