For over 40 years, Intuit has helped individuals, small businesses, and accountants prosper—but we haven’t done it alone. Our success is built on the tremendous talent and dedication of developers and partners who strengthen our community and solve real customer problems. As we close out 2025, we want to thank them for everything they do for Intuit and our shared customers.
With the help of our developer community, 2025 brought big wins: AI-powered platform growth, innovative solutions, and a relentless focus on customer needs. As we welcome 2026, let’s look back at the year’s most popular articles from the Intuit Developer Blog and celebrate what resonated most with our community.
Highlights from 2025
Intuit App Partner Program launch
The launch of the Intuit App Partner Program in July marked a major milestone for the developer community and quickly became one of our most-read articles of the year. The announcement introduced a tiered partnership structure—Builder, Silver, Gold, and Platinum—with each tier offering progressively enhanced benefits to help developers grow their integrations and businesses.

New APIs
Projects API – Intuit’s new Projects API allows QuickBooks Online users track profitability by organizing income and expenses in a unified way within their apps. They can create and manage projects while tracking income, expenses and profitability.
Custom Fields API – As part of Intuit’s new Premium APIs for Gold and Platinum partners, we introduced the Custom Fields API. It delivers a way for developers to extend QuickBooks data models without workarounds.
Sales Tax API – The QuickBooks Online Sales Tax API, launched as part of the Premium APIs suite, takes the complex out of managing sales tax. Developers can now integrate automated sales tax calculations directly into their apps.
Time API + Payroll Compensation – With Intuit’s new Time API with Payroll Compensation API, developers can extend QuickBooks Online Payroll’s time-tracking capabilities into their own apps. This means pay types, such as salary, hourly, overtime, holiday and more, can be accessed seamlessly while creating time entries enriched with payroll context.
Accounting API – Updates to our Accounting API include our newly rebuilt webhooks platform, which requires all app developers on the platform to start consuming webhooks notifications in a new CloudEvents format.
New referral management tools
In November, we introduced new referral management tools for Silver, Gold, and Platinum partners, providing a referral tracking dashboard with automated lifecycle insights from initiation to conversion. These tools help developers understand their app’s performance in the Intuit App Marketplace, make data-driven decisions, and save time—without building custom analytics.
Read our dashboard-ready insight blog post to learn how to leverage these insights to unlock growth.
Silver Tier growth toolkit
For Builder Tier partners in our App Partner Program, marketing is filled with challenges but upgrading to the Silver Tier ensures that these challenges are a thing of the past. Whether it’s campaign templates or educational resources, start growing your campaigns with our Silver Tier Growth Toolkit.
